2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Electrical

98- 12 valve elect. problem. once in a while the speedometer will jump up high then return to normal. cruise control stoped working. lights will go dim then back normal and seem to be doing more often as time goes on. any ideas where to start? thanks

Might have a loose connector problem. Get some electronics cleaner or tv tuner cleaner from radioshak, and disconnect, clean, and reconnect every connector you can get your hands on. Particularly the 3 on the computer on the firewall behind the airbox. Might want to check for wires with eroded insulation while yer at it. .

Check all your grounds out real well also. Take them off and get rid of any crud . Replace star washers for good metal contact and seal them up when reassembled. Bad grounds make the computer go paranoid.
