I have a 2001 3500 Dodge and need some help with the cruise control.

The controller engages alright but will not dis-engage by pressing on the brake pedal, as it is suppose to. It will dis-engage manually by pushing the off-on switch on the steering wheel. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I would check to see if you have brake lights, if the CC isn't getting a signal from the brake light circuit it won't disengage. Bad brake light switch, blown fuse or ?

If its the brake light switch (and it probably is) "DONT" be tempted to push the little button on the switch. It comes in a plastic bag with installation instructions, I believe the first part of the instructions is "do not push the button on the switch until installed" or something like that. The switch will set you back about $40 I think, it's been about 3 years and ??? other parts so it's tough to recall. The switch is more than likely the problem. If you hit the "Cancel" button (right spoke middle button) does the cruise go off as well?
