My 04/2500 has an electrical drain which draws the batteries down in two days. Sometime back the horn would come on as you drive along , I pulled the fuse now the check engine light is on. After jump starting the last time the engine would not rev up, the charging system checks out, and has new batteries. Help

Oh dear now lets see if I can remember enought about batteries???

The new batteries are they from the same lot and not one older and one newer? Did you or where you bought them from charge them before you installed them? I charged mine for two days and then put them in it even stopped the lights( relay) from dropping out. Charge each one up if you can ( a charger is a good tool to have) and measure the voltage at half day intervals ,one could have an internal short. Set the DVOM. ( multimeter) for the most decimals to get a most accurate voltage mesurement. A half good multi meter will be able to read DC amps to 10 amps. Pull each fuse when the batteries are charged and set the multimeter amps scale for the most accurate and see if you get any current reading? An analog meter will be polarity sensative if you use them. Hope this helps. Have probably forgot to add something so someone else can add what I forgot.
