Electronic Sability Control Light activation (ESC)

While driving my 2014 up the narrow and winding road of HWY 1 (Mendocino County) in Northern Calif. My ESC light came on for a short bit.
I was not towing and keep my ECS on as recommended by the manufacture.
I had never seen this light activated before. My passenger broke out the Owners Manual and while I was driving read to me what the ECS is. , but I was very vague. The light was not blinking. After I got onto a straight away on the highway the light went out and has never come back on.

Does anybody know what this meant? Or was this just a computer gremlin burping? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Depending on the road where you were and the attitude of the truck, the controller may have thought you were going to roll over (body roll, or sudden rise of the road on one side). Did it stay one for only a short time, or stay one longer? If a short time it may have thought you needed a little help!

Thanks for responding, the ESC light was on for a very short time, perhaps 2minutes then it cleared itself. I thought too that perhaps the tights turns and road angle may have added to the activation. Since then no ESC light has returned.

I just picked up my 2014 Ram 3500 SLR from the dealer after having the fuel filters replaced. I saw that the ESC light was on. Then when I got on the freeway, the cruise control would not set. I wonder if these are related?

Electronic Satbility Control Light Activation

After reading about the cruise control issue you had I checked mine this morning, I luckily did not have any issues. My ESC Light has never returned since that narly road on HWY1 trip in NorCal (Mendocino Coast) filled with curves and 10mph switchbacks.
