I was on a service call yesterday with my '07 C&C when the ETC light came on along with the CEL. According to the owners manual if the ETC light starts to flash(mine wasn't) the engine will go into limp mode or possibly quit. I tried to pull a code by doing the key on/off sequence, but all it said was done. After that the ETC and CEL went out. Has anyone had this happen to them? If so,what was the fix ?

Thanks,

Jim

I have seen this with the infamous "2 footed driver fault" (P2299) when I have been backing up with a trailer, as in this instance I tend to use both feet. This always goes away after I key on/key off... . in my case this is not a issue as it is a driver induced error and I'm not too concerned about it.

That is the only problem I have had with my cab and chassis, that wasn't caused by a tech guessing at the problem. The truck would not start at times then would start and run normally after it did start. It wouldn't set a code until the little red arrow symbol came on, then they found it. It was traced to the throttle control valve. (it was called a valve) I have the description and part # in my last years files. Once that was replaced, I've had no further problems.
