electronic throttle control

hi everyone
yesterday while driving my 07.5 around the electronic throttle control light came on, then about 20 min later the check engine light came on, the truck continued to run fine. made a few stops and both lights went out. when I start the truck now though there is a clicking noise coming from inside the dash and the gauges are slow to work. I bought the truck new in 07 and within 2 yrs had to change the batteries, so I put in the optama red tops, the reason I mentioned this while in Colorado over thanksgiving weekend the truck turned over kinda of slow when starting and was wondering if that could be the reason for the clicking noise and the check engine lights.

any help would be appreciated as I use the truck in my transport co thanks again brian

My 07.5 does the same thing. It will happen when my wife drives and babies the throttle, and it will do it when I'm in Cruise Control, interrupting the Cruise Control so that non of the steering wheel buttons respond until miles down the road. On a rather long trip earlier this year it seemed like it would happen more frequently over rough road. I suspect an intermittent some where between the throttle and ECM but don't know what to look for!!!
