I guess mine is an exception... however, I've seen a few that would fit that description not only in Texas, but in other states as well.

Spot on Bob! I bought a few from Texas.........never again.

Dirk, sorry about your luck but buying a high miler, deleted truck like an early 6.7 is definitely looking down the barrel of a gun. One of the best things you could do is to call H&S to see if they will spend a little time educating you about your truck. They got their pp whacked back when Edge and MadsElectronics did so you might be on your own.

Please post your findings if possible.

Relax. Like I said EVERY used truck that I have seen brought in from Texas has been a pile. Maybe Texans just sell their worst to cali

I don't know if it still holds true but for years salvage vehicles were sent to Texas from cali,patched up and resold with clean titles. I did work on the car haulers that bragged about doing it and we're buying up flood vehicles after every major event. I checked out 2 Texas registered trucks last week. Both had silt up behind the dash and rust inside as high as the cluster

Well i should have done more research on these before i bought one, I was trying to get away from the 47re issues in my old truck. Had he mentioned it was deleted or messed with, i would have steered clear. It is what it is, now i just need to figure this out and move on.

In Cali it is illegal to sell a non compliant vehicle. I would check Texas law. To make your truck legal will be very expensive

You have multiple misfire codes.and others I would have to look up. You are looking at big bucks potentially I still say check Texas law on seller responsibility

Yep, the norm when buying used with mileage + years = $$$$, generally buying used is buying someone's else's problems, you will be spending $$$$ in Injections component's and electronics , not to mention no help on the Tune BC you don't have the H&S module.

Yep, OP just ask something like this, Bought used form Texas and nothing but problems , I will be considerably more careful in the future. That's the 1st problem you bought a deleted truck W/O the H&S module, If the seller could NOT produce this device You should have consider it salvaged.

throttle position sensor code thrown 08 6.7 battery checked 12.65 volts from both of them 700 amps and terminals cleaned what next? will clear again and see what happens ? any advise where to go and look for next step?
