Ok, looking for some opinions but DO NOT want to hurt anyone's feelings. I have a question. I received my first TDR magazine yesterday and with it came a Geno's catalog. In the catalog there was an item that either came from a TDR member or is made by a TDR member called an Eliminator. This item replaces the plastic intake tube with "plus sign" stuff in it. That is exactly what I am looking for as I don't really want to replace my entire intake tubing, just that plastic piece. Does anyone out there have any experience with it? You can PM me if you wish I would understand. I don't want to hurt the feelings or disrespect the TDR member who came up with this piece but I would like more information about it. Thanks in advance.

THATS THE ONLY THING IVE DONE TO MY 3GEN SO FAR MORE TURBO NOISE :-laf , LOOKS COOL :-laf , MAY SPOOL LIL FASTER :-laf

Wait untill you change both of those ribbed boots with smooth ones and take out the scilencer ring. Then you will hear how a turbo should sound.

HA! your not kidding! - I get mistaken for a bi-state bus all the time - Whistles like no tomorrow

Just installed one I got from Bryan (bporter34@hotmail.com ) (off eBay) today. Took about five minutes. Decided to wait on the silencer ring and take things in sequence. Made just a little difference in turbo sound, but not much. May do the ring tomorrow.

The other thing I noticed about the stock one is the ridges around the interior. Has to create lots of turbulence, which has to increase resistance. I’m sure this is all to reduce noise. Smooth pipe should therefore improve things a bit and probably a tiny bit on mileage as well.

Does the turbo spool up quicker?

Thanks :D

RankRam,

Haven't put enough miles on it yet to tell for sure. If it does, the difference is very little. I also put a Quadzilla XZT on about two weeks ago and have to be careful not to overdo the boost. I've already seen over 55 PSI on the exhaust side before the turbo. Basically, it revs dang fast! So far I'm happy!
