email notification

I've selected NO on the the "email notification" option in my control panel but when I subscribe to a thread I still get email notifications. This only happens if I subscribe to a thread. Is there a way to disable this email notification?

That's the point of subscribing to a thread - to get email notifications. You can unsubscribe to a thread if you wish by going to the control panel and clicking on unsubscribe below the message. If you want to keep track of a thread for further research down the line you can add a bookmark to it on your PC.

Ok, I see your point. But any posts to subscribed threads show up under the user cp window. This is where I check for my new messages. I don't really need the email notification. But if it can't be turned off I suppose it doesn't really matter.
