Email notification

Haven't gotten email for a while just noticed that it wasn't coming in. Any clue what to look for?

Sorry, I didn't answer because what Wade posted is usually the problem. Here is what the log file shows for emails it's trying to send to you:



Nov 16 15:42:46 tdr sendmail[82063]: hAGFgjc82061: to=r***************n@verizon.net, ctladdr=nobody (65534/65534), delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=esmtp,

pri=30938, relay=relay. verizon.net. [206. 46. 170. 12], dsn=5. 0. 0, stat=Service unavailable



I replaced part of your email address there with *'s - it really reads your email address. Your ISP is rejecting mail from us for some reason. A spam blocker is usually the cause of this.

Here is what they asked for:



I need to have a complete email address that you are sending from. If you have another email address from same domain to see if it will get through. Send one from the other address to see if it is the entire domain. See if you are getting bounced or returned emails. IF you are haveing problems sending to any other verizon.net customers.

To fix this have your ISP put "*tdr.com" to let everything from tdr through.

"rpatton@turbodieselregister" is NOT the email that this stuff comes through with.

It is "nobody@tdr.com" --which as my ISP said--ain't a legit address.

Still no luck... . Thanks Steve, I had them turn off the spam blocker. What next?
