Emergency & Antilock Brake Lights Suddenly On

Got in the other morning to leave for work, temp about 18 degrees went about half a mile and the e-brake light and anti-lock light both came on. Can find no obvious damage to any cables/wires, brake fluid level perfect. Have definitely lost the anti-locks, no other problems. Due to work have not been able to get to deep into this yet and no I have not checked fuses yet, 12 to 14 hr days and it's dark when I leave and dark when I get home. Can anyone possibly point me in right direction that might have had similar problem? Thanks to all in advance and hope you have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

I would check the emergency brake switch first.
Switch closed emergency brake light ON.

You need a decent scanner, or Chrysler, he will tell you the codes you have now in the ABS Unit.
A cheap scanner won't tell you ABS Codes.
Forget the brake light or Ebrake switch, that won't illuminate the ABS Light.

I had a lot of trouble with exactly the same fault you have now, most of the time it is the rear ABS Sensor.
But in some cases, mine was, there is more. At my Truck the ABS Unit itself was faulty, I had to open it and re-soldered the Pins on the Board.

That's why we need to know the codes for a direct help to you.

No not possible, but with great cold all materials tend to shrink and so the soldered connections loses contact first when cold.

Had it that way with mine.

You can ohm out the three circuits at the wire connectors on the ABS unit. I have the electrical manual for my '03, let me know if you need the wire colors for each sensor.
