Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Emjay trans box

I was thinking of giving the Emjay box a try. Does anybody have any experience with it? Someone told me they had problems with it. Just wanted to know what others thought.

Yes, let me know how you like it, also what is involved in the installation.

I haven't had any problems with my emjay. My CB sometimes causes problems. I don't blame the emjay since the radio is bombed too.

I've had mine installed for a full year now with out any problems and it works excellent. A great addition to my truck.

My CB makes noise thru my radio speakers also if I turn on the Windshield wipers, the A?C fan & windows switches, but only if the CB is on, all's fine & quite with it off.

From what I hear, the Emjay is a step up--designed to work with the 47RE & 48RE. Guys who have them seem to like them.

I also have the commander but opted to try the emjay for the shift point adjustments. Should have it in a few days.

Well, I like it. I do wish there was more positions on the switch though. It's really easy to reprogram so it's a small issue. The only problem I have heard about with the Emjay was a few of the older ones that got out with a bad firmware. This happened to me but was corrected very quickly.



He quite obviously knows what he is doing, his support was excellent, and it's a great toy!
