I see EMS offroad has finally released their front axle freewheel kit for late model rams. Has any one out there purchased and installed one yet?

Well it's about time! I will see about ordering a set if i get the new job!

I just called them, they only have 5 kits left!

i think you got the price for the dually kits. My total for the extreme duty kit with 2 spicer u-joints shipped to my door was 1600.

And a lot of you don't "need" the extreme duty kit which should drop the price IIRC.

I would have really considered this if they would have been around when I ordered my DT kit... being they are about 45 minutes away from me...

The install instructions list the bearing/race pn's

The hub is there's, probably a single source...

my kit should be in route, will keep you posted. .

are you guys getting the heavy duty kit or standard duty?

IMO, for someone who just drives their truck, and doesn't off-road (basically you only use 4wd if you get in a little tight or in snow), I'd do the standard duty and save some $$.

The DT kit is "HD" with the 35-spline 1. 5" outers... a little overkill considering the stubs are huge compared to the inner axles in the AAM.

If I were to buy a new kit, I'd buy a standard duty kit...

Does this kit move the wheel flange out more than OE like the Dyn-Trac conversion?

Price is more reasonable but even at 1295. 00 that buys allot of fuel.

I would think the time to do it would be when the front axle joints need replacing, that way you are already in there and are getting new joints in the kit.
