Guess what I did?

Carson, I installed ems on my 12v and I opted for the large outer shafts and they bound up on hard right or left turn the solution was buy larger inner axles or grind the yokes down I chose to tac weld a 1/4" nut on each side at the stop surface. My intention is to buy the larger inner axles later and Steve has asured me that will resolve the binding issue , The 1/4" nut fix only cost me about a foot in my turning radious, only noticeable when doing tight parking manuvers. I am enjoying the increase in fuel mileage by 2 mpg. And that to me is well worth the investment . This conversion did increase wheel width by 1/2" on both sides which will help when I buy my next set of larger tires all in all I'm real happy with the results and the guys at ems are good to deal with I hope my expirence helps you with yours. Bill

If the axles are not going to be turning except in 4x4 mode, for us who
due very little 4 wheel operation, would not the non, greaseable be better?

OR, because they are not used, need to be greased ????

My kit should be here Monday, I may just reuse the originals,

Next Question: Did you reuse the wheel studs, & if so , was it a problem pressing them out??

Considering my joints were rusted due to lack of grease, I would expect the same thing with joints that are stationary. I would not install non-greaseable joints, but it's not my truck.

My DT kit came with studs, not sure about the EMS kit.
