The moronic part about the high idler is, if you plug your truck in it won't work. So, basically what DC is saying, is you can take care of your truck, or you can have defrosters when you start moving, but not both.
There has been talk about which sensors it uses: IAT, coolant, battery, but I don't remember which ones for sure. Hopefully this winter I can get some readings on all of those at cold temps, and then find a warm garage to work in and start trying some different things with them. Eventually, I would like the high idle to come on when it is 32 degrees out, and coolant temp is below 160. No matter if it has been left out all night, or plugged in, or just idling so I have a warm place to go to. It shouldn't matter.
