Has Anyone Tried This Fuel Additive?

Twins guys-- why no intercooling between stages?

Has anyone tried or know anything about these magnets which are installed around your fuel line to improve your mileage? Of course there are many claims that fuel mileage increases. I believe the theory is that it expands the fuel therefore you pump less in the engine. I am running out of excusses why I don't want to try one. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Russ

Hey Russ welcome!

There was just a big write up that I posted within THIS THREAD That hashed out all the claims that theese things "do" from Popular Mechanics. Look in the section labeled magnets within and that should set your worry's at ease.

I am also going to move this thread for ya too so it gets into the right forum.

Don't buy those. I have some from 1971 that do not have all that EGR and other pollution control power robbing gear installed. These are pre-EGR and pre-Catalytic converter magnets. They are sold only on the black market in European countries. I will let you have them for $250, only if you send me your Visa credit card number, and bank routing and account number + the cash.

Don't miss out on this deal.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with everything said. If it was that simple I believe the big auto-manufactures would use them to save a lot of money and improve sales.

Also thanks with moving the my thread, being new to the group i guess i don't have it down yet.

Thanks for the work up on that previous article, Tim. I think I saw a snake oil salesman going by the other day... ... ...
