Engin runs rough

After a brief cool down, out side temp just above freezing i go to run to the store and uppon start up engin runs rough (4 of the six cylinders) and smokes alot steam not oil, lasts for about 90 sec. has done this twice and has only 10,800 miles on it. DC checked everything, lift pump,rail preasure return press. ect. said everything in spec, but did tell me i had 30% idle time witch i reallize is too much, any ideas on what it is, or chock it up to bad fuel?

The only mods i have are kn filter and took the cat off and beet out the guts and reinstalled

I would dump some Howe's or some other additive of your choice and run the dogsnot out of it. Hook a trailer to it if you can. She just needs to run hard for a bit.

there is a new TSB to fix this, the kid that works for me had his done last week and my brother yesterday, both early 06 trucks. unbelievable difference.

This seems to be kind of normal for most of us during the winter months. Mine has done this every winter never a problem once it gets warmer. Upon start up the truck runs rough for under a minute while puffing some smoke. It was so common that after the dealer checked it out I forgot about it.
