Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) engine block identification

I'm replacing my 53 block, but I 've heard on some blocks there is no number where the 53 is. when I get my new block and look for the number I would like to know where to look just in case it is not in the same spot.

From what I understand if it's any # or no # it's good other than #53

thanks for the reply, I had just heard that some people couldn't find numbers on there blocks, I know there are 53,54,55,and 56's but I didn't know where to find the numbers except where my 53 is.

They are all good expept for the 53.
