Engine burped

Hi, I had a problem yesterday while sitting at a red light, all of a sudden my engine burped and the volt meter took a nose dive, needle came back up to normal and truck ran fine after that, What would cause that to happen, any ideas, Thanks in advance,Monte

Check codes, look for a 2509. Sounds like there was a power interruption of some sort.
