Engine came to life today... pics...

[GOT-Torque]

Finally was able to get the new engine ready to start today. Fired right up and sounds good. I should have an A/C compressor next week so I can put the belt on it (to run the water pump) and let it come up to temp. I need to bring it to temp a few times so I can retorque the head studs before I install it in the Excursion.



In the meantime, I need to get the billet input shaft installed in the trans as well as some other required transmission upgrades

good mockup you got there. Now you know it is going to run good before you put it in the truck. neat plumbing setup there. Going to keep it after she is installed in the truck??? grin... .

It may take quite a bit more feet of pvc pipe to compare to the cooling capacity of the factory radiator though... .



The mockup is nice so I can figure everything out before I rip my family rig apart. Trying to keep the downtime to a minimum.
