Engine Code Question

PO251 Injection Pump fuel valve feedback. Any ideas of what this code is about?

It is an 03 3500. Freind of mine says truck is running great but he's getting terrible fuel mileage. He got about 270,000 miles and runs a Predator chip.

P0251-CP3 PUMP REGULATOR CONTROL



remove fca harness. connect test light between contacts. light should flash 20 seconds after connection is made.

if it flashes as bright as connecting the light across the battery check each pin to ground for more than one volt.

If there is less than one volt check for short between wires and wires to ground, no shorts allowed.
