Engine codes 2006?

How do you check 'em? On my '01 I could get them on the odometer display. Truck's less than a month old and already displaying check engine light . Gonna take it back to dealer after work, but the suspense is drivin' me nuts-I wanna know what's wrong right now.

Got it to the dealer. Code P0199-low rail pressure. They weren't able to fit it in today, so I'll have it back in tomorrow to find and correct the actual problem. Truck runs fine with no hiccups or hesitations. I'm guessing it's a sensor.

I am not sure on the 06 trucks you can check codes through the odometer.

OK, I got it now. Did a search on codes. Not quite the same procedure as the old truck.

Turn the key to the ignition position on/off, on/off, on/off, on 3 times quickly. The codes appear in the odometer. After codes are complete, the display reads "done".
