My engine threw the following codes: P0234, P0253 and P0382. I was able to clear them and they have not returned. Engine has 140K miles, original V44 fed by an Air Dog FP100, Banks Otto Minder and S&B Air Filter.

Any Ideas on this? Was it just because of the cold? My block heater is shot so it was not pluged in.

Those 3 codes would appear to be unrelated to each other. I am not sure I can offer much help on those codes. I can tell you that my truck has also thrown codes, including P0251, if I start it when it is really cold and not plugged in. It seems to happen at around -10* and below. It's done this for several years. I just clear the codes with the Smarty and keep drivin it.

Thanks Deon. The only time I have received these was when the temp was at or below -3 and the block not pluged in. One other observation is I believe that one of my batteries is also going bad because it is taking longer (much longer) for the recharge after starting. I know cold weather starts sucks the juice down but it has always rebounde quickly. I thought it may have been the altternator but it checks out ok.
