Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Engine Cooling Fan

I want to be able to turn on the engine cooling fan when backing my 5th wheel trailer in order to keep the tranmission cooler. Currently it will rapidly heat up when backing a heavy load. The installed engine driven fan does not seem to capable of being remotely controlled. Any suggestions?

would keep the engine warm as well.
