Engine died while driving

How about fuel filter. Seems backward (runs with high throttle), but not mentioned yet. Bad fuel? How about air in fuel or blocked air flow - intake and/or exhaust plugged (but no black smoke). Interesting. Let us know.

Well I haven't had any more issues, so the world may never know.



I shouldn't say that. Last night my "check engine" light came on. HUH? What sensors can even trigger that? This motor is so bare bones basic as far as sensors and computers, most of the time its hard to believe the PCM even knows the engine is even there. When I turned it off and back on (with the motor running) the light went out and still hasn't come back on. Honestly... I'm not insanely worried. All my gauges were where they should be... I think it's more a wiring issue than anything.

Get your alternator checked- it is the most common CEL set off cause.
