Seems that every time I tow a trailer (typically a 2-place snowmobile trailer) or place the engine under a load, I get the "check engine" light to come on. In addition, the engine dogs out and has zero power.

I've been to the dealer and have had some warranty work done (three times now).

The error code indicates the problem is with the MAP sensor?

Has anyone else had a similar problem or am I just special ?

mine went out...

I had this happen to me with an empty truck. It would run some times like it was supposed to. Then out of the blue, no power and a top speed of 70 on level ground. All you should have to do is replace the MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) sensor. Cured me right up!:D

Two weeks ago I had the same problem. A fellow TDR member recomended that I pull the plug on the map sensor and apply dielectric grease. Make sure you put some on all three posts. I did it and it worked. Code disappeared.

Good luck.

The dealer replaced the MAP sensor the first time and worked on the wastegate this last time. Even though still under warranty, it's still a scheduling nightmare.

I'll take your advice and get back to you with the results. Thanks for the mail.
