Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Engine Fan

How often does all of your clutch fans kick on and off running around empty on a 90-100 degree day with the AC balsting??



Mine seems to always kick on and off when I have my AC on and the temp reaches about 90* unloaded. Although the temp rarely rises over 200 on my temp guage. I was just wondering if maybe my thermosat needed to be replaced. Thanks

It runs more because your AC is on even though your temp is down.

Mine wont run hot enough to make the fan come on unless i am towing up hills on 100 deg day. I rarely ever hear it .

same with mine i never here it unless i have the ac on and the truck idles for 5 or six min

I think that I am going to change the thermostat just as preventative maintance. I was getting a little worried because I am going on a long trip in couple of weeks. I am going to be towing about 12,000 lbs to Organ. . Just don't want to get stranded. . any way thanks for the replies I feel a little better.
