Thanks, yeah, I was gonna try F1 injectors n see what they could do for me, if they can rebuild them n just put new nozzles on that would b best n cheapest I would think... ... . so the flux 2s are the 50hp tips not the flux 1s?? I called a place that sells F1 injectors and they mentioned the flux 1st are the 50hp tips..... I don't know maybe I heard wrong.....

Update -

So 4 out of 6 of my injectors were apparently bad as they had very high return rates. F1 diesel will be remanufacuring all 6 stock and i will be going to a my local shop for an EFI Live map install. Should make the freshened injectors live much longer without that last injection event as well as an entire new map for my driving purposes.

Getting injectors back sometime before Xmas and will have it running not too long after. Just got the new SBC Street DD installed this weekend as well as other odds n ends but i will update as soon as i get my injectors back... .

Thanks for keeping us up to date. So does a high return rate equate to leaking into the cylinder? I'm trying to figure out how that causes your problem.

Yeah, I was curious about that as well..... my information was passed onto my as I was not able to talk to anyone personally @ F1 I was just told by my distributor down here in So Cal, Big Power Diesel, that they had high return rates and were worn out. I would assume the worn out description would mean some of the internals were severely worn and maybe that equated into a worn out pintle which would leak fuel after shutdown. I guess we'll see once i get everything back together if it continues to "diesel" after shutdown... ... update will probably not be till New Year's Eve as I should b recieveing my injectors this week but won't have time to re-install them until probably the 29th or 30th with my very busy holiday schedule.

Before i pulled the batteries for this major maintenance I believe it was 77250 exactly... ..... only failures up till now were A/C compressor, then leaking A/C line and a faulty factory clutch hydrolics..... truck has treated me well since Oct of 2006.....

Got my injectors back in and truck is running great! No more "dieseling" after key is turned off and seems to idle and run overall smoother. Everything is like new with the new clutch, fresh injectors, new batteries, and few other odds and ends.

Just got back this morning from Palmdale with my new EFI Live tune and it is running even better. Its a mild tune, only 60hp but I could already tell the efficency and economy have gone up with the tune just on the ride back. need to take a longer road trip to get some real feedback but very low smoke and great power. EFI Live has put the icing on the cake after my upgrades and injector maintenance.

Now gotta keep an eye on any other wear items in need of maintenance or replacement. ;)
