Engine jerking?

For lack of better words, my engine seems to be jerking in first and second gear when I let out the clutch. I changed the fuel filter out and I have no "check engine" lights. Sometimes it will hesitate and miss like it's going to die when I let out the clutch. I think it could be the fuel pump but I really don't feel like reinventing the wheel by installing the intank pump. I've had this problem since May of this year and sometimes it will go away like I think it has now. The dealership mechanic said, "most times people fabricate problems in their head thinking something is wrong when things are fine". Thank you dealership mechanic for that statement that cost me $92. 47.

If you are talking about the 03,Genos sells a replacement pump that still just bolts in place.
