I just finished installing II 50hp injectors in my 06. The injectors have fixed a number of things but now i have a substantial ping/knock when am below 2000rpm. This is a six speed and i notice it each gear each time i shift but not at idle or higher RPM's. It seems to disapear when the turbo is spooled above 5psi or so. I have only had this truck for 800 miles or so i don't have much for the history except that it did not knock on the old bad injectors. This morning took off the valve cover and made sure all the rocker arms were tourqed. I did not do the valve lash yet but given i did no changes to the rockers there should be no change. i am planning to check the lash tomorrow as soon as i figure out how to turn the engine to find TDC. Is the 2006 . 010 intake and . 020 exhaust?
I would not think its a fuel issue as the truck is running great at WOT and at idle, no gauges yet to see what pressures i have but does any one know why the new injectors would start this? I have searched and found quite a few people talking about a knock but given this just started after i did the install it has be caused by that.
Thanks
