Engine knock

While pulling my TT this weekend, I started hearing a distinct knock from the engine at about 2700 RPMS. If i backed off it would stop. My truck is an ETC 5spd stock with 4000 miles on it. Whats happening and is this something I should wory about? TIA

Yes, this is something you should worry about.

It should not knock at all.

It should be hummin at that rpm range, not knocking.

Take it to the dealer you bought it from and explain situation.
