engine light on, bad miss and no power

It has happened about 10 times now. The engine light will come on, and the egine will miss badly. If I am on the highway and cannot get over right away, EGT's will build to 1400 in seconds trying to keep her rolling.



Get it shut down, let it sit a few minutes and it will re-start without any problems.



Do not see any smoke at all when this happens. Started out happening only at idle, or when pulling out of the throttle then getting back into it. now happens any random time.



Seems to be less frequent with Edge set to 0.



Still shooting out the engine mis-fire codes. What do you guys think?

It sounds like the Edge is acting up, remove it and see how it does.

that was my thought too you may have to send it in and get it reflashed.

I'd probably start with the easy stuff first. Try replacing the fuel filter first then I'd look to the edge if that didn't fix it.

brnad new fuel filter about 1500 milea ago, problem was there before, but was changing the oil and did the fuel filter as well.



Does Edge warranty there stuff fairly well?



Coudl the heat (we have seen some pretty hot temps and it seems to do this only at baout 95 or higher) have anything to do with it?

Edge is great with warranty stuff. They'll hook you up. I've sent mine in to them several times and each time I've gotten it back it's better. You may need an update. They will do that for you for free as well.

Personally I don't like the way the edge reacts. I sent mine back three times now and it's still not right. I figure I will just have to live with it. I don't get any codes any more but this thing hesitates like hell, like there's not enough fuel flow. Even at three it does it randomly. I am not really an edge fan and would say that it is probably your problem. I also had a tst a few years back on a 03 that caused the same symptoms, sent it back to tst after 3 years of use and they charged me $50 for a brand new unit and it solved the problem. SO why I went with Edge this time? I dunno!!
