Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) engine miss

When driving down the road in overdrive and apply a little more peddle the engine seems to miss and the whole truck starts to shake. It seems worse when cold and going up hill. Ifi let off or give alot more peddle it will stop. If I drop the hammer everything seems find. I have a Edge EZ on the truck. With the EZ removed it doesnt seem to do it but need more road time to test. Any speed in overdrive it seems to do it. Fuel guage shows good pressure but does shake when this happens but cant tell if it is from the truck shaking. Tach seems to jump a little to while shaking but not miuch. Truck has a DTT Trans,DD11's and a 4"exhaust.

I heard today that there could be a small problem in the ECU that affects the timing between 1700-2000 RPMs . IT sounded like it only has been a problem in a few trucks and that the Edge is likely enhancing the shake. Edge is going to give me another chip to try in case the chip is the problem. Hats off to Edge products for excelent customer service.
