DOnt really know where to post this, but here we go.

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500, Cummins obviously, and am going to build a new center console for my truck this winter/spring and in this console will be a built in PC. Other than GPS software, and maybe as an MP3/DVD player, and work PC (paper workstuff), I also would love to use it as a monitor for engine functions... basicly so it would monitor the engine, but also would like to have it monitor EGTs/Boost/FP/ECT... is there any software out there that would work with any of the electronic sensors out there... I know I may be getting into some deep water as far as cost goes, but I think it would be pretty sweet.

Look for data acquisition and control systems or DACS as a start. You'll need to get the value range for your sensors and do your own calibration but it's all doable. They have some fairly small DACS units with analog and digital inputs and they can easilly be coupled with your laptop. There are a range of software programs as well.

Sounds like quite an undertaking. Let us know how it works out.

Good luck,

Don :D
