Are the Dodge Ram engine mount brackets that attach to the frame/chassis bolt on?

I'm thinking about saving myself some time by getting a pair of them to either use as patterns or adapt them to my frame.

Yes the Dodge engine mount brackets should fit most automotive 6B engines. They will bolt to a 4B, but leves no room for the starter motor.

Thanks Steve.

I have the cast motor mounts that are attached to the engine and hold the big rubber inserts. What I need to find out is if the receivers/sockets for them are bolted or welded to the chassis - is that what you meant please?

Welded. You might also look into first gen mounts, as they require less fabricating at the frame, just two holes or slots. However, the mounts themselves are not as durable as the second gen. Similar to what Mopar did around 1973 on cars when they went away from the biscuit mount with studs to the cradle mount like 2nd gen Rams use.
