Just a quick question for those in the 200,000+ mile club.

Do you ever replace your engine or transmission mounts?

My 94 still has the origional oem mounts. I went with some custom Carli crmo poly mounts to ensure no issues while running around in Baja.I see hi mile 3rd gens with theoriginals all the time.Trans mount should be inspected.

How often should transmission mounts be inspected?

I do it whenever I have a truck in the air or when there is any slop felt in the drivetrain. The harder the truck is used the more likely a trans mount will fail.Trans leaks will also shorten the trans mount's life.

So many are experiencing transmission shudders, it just crossed my mind, I should probably check them about every 30,000 miles.

I'd imagine the transfer case mounts on the 4x4's help give some transmission support?

The mount is on the transfercase on the 4x4's
