I have a howling noise from my engine at 2000 RPM. Sounds like a window is open. It's only between 1950 RPM and 2050 RPM. Is that normal. Sounds like the turbo. 99 Dodge, Ram, 2500, Auto, Thanks, Bob B.
Pull the snorkle that connects the air cleaner box to the inner fender and no more howl plus the engine will breathe a little easier. it's easy, just grab and yank. Simple BOMB #ad

For the heater hose noise you can do one of two things. You can unscrew the "gold" hose fitting at the cylinder head and pull out the rubber grommet that's inside,or take it to the dealer and see if they will install the new "black" fitting under warranty.
Mine groaned a little warming up after getting some fuel in South Georgia about a month back. When I left Melbourne, it was 75 deg. When I fueled up it was 25. The noise occured at about 1800 RPMs and the temp wasn't back to 190 yet. Thought it might be the heater. Hasn't done it again.
