My truck seems to be getting noisier, I'm not sure why. It used to be fairly quiet at highway speeds, but now I find myself turning up the volume on CD player. I checked for codes and had none, power is good as is fuel milage.

Any ideas on why, winter, new fuel(ULSD)???

Thanks in advance.

I have heard that adjusting your valves can have you 24v run smother.

Have you ever done this? What type of miles does you motor have?

I have a 01 with twins and its loud compared to my 06 CR motor.

Hope this helps.

Valve adjustment

Yooper1,

Thats probably a good place to start, I've got 76K on the truck and never had the valve cover off. I'll let you know if valve adjustment helps, I sure hope it does.

Thanks Chuck E.

Power Box

georgej,

I do have a VanAaken box on it that advances the timing and adds more fuel.

Maybe it is a combination of all three, box, winter and valve adjustment
