I got a deal on a used Amsoil dual by pass filter set up of a truck like mine ,
If I was going to do again , I may go with the Spinner II , but still looking into this , just clean , no filters , takes up a lot less space .
I can't find the link [ too many ] .

You can do a bypass for under $200 if you hunt around... you can actually do a bypass for under $80 if you really wanted.

There are a bunch of choices... some ore more labor intensive than others. Some are simply spin on filters with remote mounts (Amsoil and Baldwin), while others are rolls of paper towels (gulf coast filter) or toilet paper (small gulf coast, Frantz, motorguard). Others are literally balls of string (oil guard)...

You need to decide how much you want to change the element, and the the element's change interval; then pick accordingly.

I think the best bypass proven to date is the Frantz Gary runs, but it requires element changing every 2k miles. The cheapest uses Baldwin filters and remote head... I remember one owner making his kit up for under $80. It all depends on what you want...

With that said, I have a Gulf Coast 0-1 I bought on eBay for $125. I have $50 in hydraulic hose, and another $15 in the swivel fitting on the oil filler cap. I know I have another $10 in misc fittings. So for $200, I have a large, very effective filter that only requires changing every 10k miles.

You can search my name and Gulf Coast Filter, I provided a link to the ebay seller that has the Gulf Coast's used... if you are interested.

I got One hell of a deal on a new FS-2500. I won't print the price. I don't want to here post the invoice. It was more than 450.

There's a guy on Cummins Forum selling a couple used FS2500s... I probably would have boughten one, if he was about 6 months earlier.

I would probably NOT buy a new one... watch EBay and the forums... buy a used one. There's not much that can really go wrong with a filter head or filter housing...

Like steve said if you don't mind 2k changes go with frantz, lots of them can be had for under $80. Get some lines and fittings and ready to install. Or go with amsoil bp80a mount, eabp100 filter, and swivel fitting with stant #11111 cap for around $80 and add lines and fittings. The amsoil filter is rated up

60k with amsoil oil. I spent almost $80 just for lines and fittings because the hydrualic shop I went to gave me 5000 psi hydraulic lines and top of the line fittings.
