Put on my Frantz TP bypass oil filter today. Inlet at the extra port on factory oil filter top, and drilled a hole in the engine oil cap. At first the hole that I drilled through the cap was not large enough and oil came out the spring loaded ratcheting part of the cap. The spring inside the cap was sideways and to the side. Not wanting the spring to cause any trouble and get sucked into the motor I took the cap apart and used a Drummel tool and cleaned up the plastic inside the cap and removed the spring, then used JB weld and put it back together. My question is, will I have to drill a small hole in the cap to make it once more a breather cap? Do not want to blow out any gaskets or such. Have pictures will post soon. :(

I hooked mine up there too...

I just took the spring out and didn't do anything else. It works ok so far, I just hate having to disconnect the fitting if i need to add oil.

You really shouldn't need to add another hole since the crankcase is vented out through the aspirin bottle.
