Hello TDR members! 2004, 2500 4wd. 135,000 miles runs smooth. I've noticed a slight buildup of new wet oil on both sides of bottom radiator where plastic and the aluminum connect to make the side tanks of radiator. pull shroud back and I can see a little oil in fins 5-6 drops a day. Antifreeze seems clean (no oil), no milkshake in oil either (water). I did get a small (very small smell of antifreeze once, but haven't been able to notice since that one time. No overheat, no loss of oil pressure. Studying up and thought it may be cooler behind filter, but wouldn't I see oil in radiator or get the oil volcano eruption? to be clear there is no other liquid that flows through radiator correct? All other coolers, trans, PS, etc. are external correct? My engine is spotless no leaks that I can see but the occasional drip from my downtube. Appreciate the help..

Brian

It is probably transmission fluid from the trans or PS cooler. There is no engine oil anywhere near the radiator.

agree, need to verify what kind of oil, power steering, transmission (lines are prone to leaking at the quick disconnects). Also which 2004 do you have? early or a 2004.5. its possible to have the crank case vent tube leak at the top of the valve cover and have it come out in all kinds of strange spots
