Oil in radiator Case 504BD

Found some time at work today to dig deeper into this problem. By passed water cooled head on engine air brake compressor, pulled thermostats, flushed drained block and radiator, refilled with coolant, also ran with engine oil cooler bypassed, with the thermostats out, no oil in coolant found yet. We are going to run this loader under load, and watch things carefully, hopefully the heads will not have to be removed, Thank you for the suggestions, Rick.

Transmission Oil in Radiator, Problem found!

;) :) After nearly a month of putting off getting into this problem, I found time last week to dig deeper. Disconnected transmission oil cooler at the bottom of the radiator, fabricated hoses and a regulated air supply, pressurized trans oil cooler, and the problem has been found. Bubbles in the oily coolant mess appeared, and a gurgling sound was heard. Radiator was removed, lower tank cut open, a soldered seam opened . New replacement radiator on order, as well as all new hoses, belts, water pump, etc. Thank you all for the help Rick.

:) ;) Glad to hear the gremlin has been found and eradicated. Especially a tough gremlin.

I told you it was a oil cooler... ... LOL :D Just had to razz ya.

I never would have thought the transmission cooler either, was thinking the air cooled variety---- of course Im thinking sight unseen. :)

Chalk another one up for experience! Oo. Oo.
