Even if I missed the supercession in Quickserve it brings me to a complete dead stop when I either do a stock inquiry or attempt to order it in the Cumpas dealer system....

It does say oldest parts are on top thou, which leads me to believe that the bottom part number supersedes the one(s) above it.

Yes, I just tossed that out in general, I wasn't referencing your screen shot, I was looking at the filter head assembly supercession chain when I typed that. Newest is indeed at the bottom.

Can't remember what the "+" means on the oldest number....

The video looks odd to me but I take my oil pressure from a different port.

Have you tried a different port or a different gauge?

I just quickly re-read the entire thread, did you ever unhook the gauge line from the filter head to see if the chattering sound stopped???

This is on my 'to-do' list.

I only ran the truck once since i did the 'fix',.. i would say that it 'chatters' less then before. Gauge still 'wags' but noise seems less.
Tomorrow i'll run my Ram to work and report back in the eve.

No, where is another location?

There is a metric o-ring port above the ECM. That's the port I use to feed my sender.

Hard to see it but it's the shiny fitting above the oil spot on the block.

Weird, i plug the gauge port and it still dos it.

i start the truck this morn and in a few seconds [30?] i hear a chatter/chirp sound, not constant, and my gauge is wagging at me. I took a vid but it didnt pick up the sound.
So i cap to port , start the truck and it acts the same.
Are we barking up the wrong tree?

Each time i hear the sound, my gauge dips, 5 to 20~ #
When i started hearing this, the tempts where lower, now its june.... noise quits when truck is warmed up [i think!]

I've been thinking about this a lot the last couple of days. Was waiting to hear if it still chattered when gauge / line combo disconnected and plugged.....

So now that it is I wonder if the following is happening, just a theory and you should wait for the Big Dogs (Bob4x4, Cerb, etc..) to chime in...

I am questioning the integrity of the oil sump tube, slightly loose, possibly defective in some manner, bad gasket...when the oil is cold it is harder to draw into the oil pump and the noise is when the oil pump sucks a quick charge of air.

When the oil warms up it flows easier so no noise or chatter...

Well, the chatter is gone...... COULD come back But maybe as the regulator 'broke' in .....
My old housing HAD a lot of wear.....
Its gone, so this problem can go the way of 'other' problems....
