Engine Oil Question

Hi - A friend has been looking for a used Cummins to tool around in, and finally found a '92 4x2 that he liked the looks of. He eneded up buying it based on its condition, as the previous owners took good care of it, although there was some initial surprise when he found that it had some 326,000 miles on the clock. The service records show that beyond a fuel system rebuild in '99 (pump and new injectors) that nothing has ever needed to be done to engine.
Evidentally it has been filled with "Lubrication Engineers" brand oil from day one. Neither of us has ever heard of this product and the info on the bottle basically tells where to mail order some more (somewhere in Texas).
Can anyone enlighten us on what this stuff is and any stories (good or bad) about using it?

I believe there is a member who posts here that works for Lubrication Engineers. I think he blends or something. Try a search on it. If I remember right, he said it's on par with Amsoil and other good synthetics. There is always something in someone's opinion that makes the product they use better than all others though. That's why they choose it. As far as I know, it's good stuff though. I'm sure you'll get a bunch of replies on this one.

LE oil is good stuff. I use it in everything except the 6 speed. Hope I get 300,000+ also #ad
The diesel fuel conditioner makes the Cummins purr like a big cat. 2 ounces every fillup.

Why only 2 ounces per tank? I been using 4 as that is what the recommended dosage is, right?

LE only sells in large quantities. Call Roy at MayHytec for your needs. I have no experiance with LE oils but have been running their fuel treatment. Honestly, I see no difference against the Power Service I used to run. I can only say my oil analysis is good at almost 100k.

Hi, I'm The guy that works for LE that the guys have been talking about in the above posts. Yes the LE engine oil is a VERY high quality oil. As one of the guys said email me and I can tell you anything you wish to know about the LE products.

LE products are very high quality. I use them in the engine and the rear diff. I get good readings from Blackstone Labs.
