Driving my 2013 Dodge Ram 3500 6.7 diesel Cummins Engine shot down on the middle of the road has lights ok but no ignition key stock in the switch , I replace the battery’s like. A month ago anybody has any idea
Did you have any warning lights come on?
Is engine turning over?
It read as nothing was happening.
Can you remove key? You mentioned some thing was stuck. Are you stuck in drive or is this the year they had no key just a fob?
No warning lights , just shot down no lights on the dash board , I turn the key and is like nothing , I can’t remove the key it all, when the truck quit I put in drive then try to put it back on neutral to move the truck away from the street and
The Key fob switch thing will lock the fob in place when there is a systems failure. They give you a emergency key in the fob so you can lock the doors. This way when the dealer picks up the truck they have the fob so they can start working on the truck. I remember reading about this in the owners manual. I'd check the fuses make sure they are all in place and good. I've found some tend to work their way out over time. Same thing with the cube relays.
Do have a screen ? You mite be able to pull up codes on it. If the key can or already in run position or you can turn it there or acc position.
Fuel level ok?
Did you fuel up recently ( like 5 to 10 miles before it died?).
