Just changed the oil for the first time at 7,000 miles, on my brothers HO 03. and the little engine sign came on. I am sure all is well. How do you clear it?

take it to the dealer,,,,, the unhooking the battery trick wont work anymore,,,,,,,,,,,,,, dont tell them that the light came on after you changed the oil,,,,,, just tell them he was driving down the road and the light popped on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the got to turn it off,,,, it under warranty

My cousin had a code come on the other day after the truck quit with gelled fuel. He called his dealer and they told him how to erase the code by turning the key on and off so many times, waiting so many seconds and turning it on and off again. It cleared.

Reddge don't worry about it and just drive it. I'm always taking my air intake hose off to my turbo for one thing or another and forget to reconnect the IAT sensor wire afterwards and trip my light. I just drive it and it goes out after a few On/Off cycles.

Did you fill the oil filter before installing it? If you didn't, maybe the oil pressure was depressed just long enough to trip a code.

Cycle the ignition switch on and off 3 times to check codes. Let us know if you need it interpreted.

I have done my truck now, twice, once at 3800 and again at 7500, no lights. First time, I filled the filter, second time not. I'll watch for this one. Keep us posted on what they said when you get it cleared. I did have my ABS light come on one time in the rain, pulling out in traffic, floored it and got some wheel spin, but it cleared itself after a couple of miles. Didn't have to shut it down and restart. Sometimes, I am starting to think these things have a mind of thier own, the way these lights and codes are popping up with no rhyme or reason.

Did you prime the filter? I do not know if there is a code for excessive time until pressure is sensed?? AN ODB code guru would help.

PDanner brother of REDDGE. I disconnected the batteries for 30 minutes, reconnected them and the MIL light was reset.
