Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Engine stalls

I have a 97 stock automatic dually. On cold start up the engine won't idle or when outside temp. is around ninety or so the engine will stall when coming to a stop if I don't keep my foot on the acc. pedal. Any ideas what the problem is or how to get it fixed?
