Hi, ya'll! I'm new to the TDR and to CTD ownership. I have a 1997 Ram 2500 with 155K miles and the temp gauge would never get much above the 140F mark. I replaced the thermostat yesterday with a Stant 180F stat and the temp will reach the 190F mark but now it fluctuates between 190F and about 160F. Is this going to be harmful to the motor?

No. This is normal. Cummins has a different theromostat available that is reported to eliminate the fluctuation but using it only provides psychological benefits to you. Your engine doesn't care. :)
