I read in a few thread that if you bump your timing a bit that you can get better mileage. Is this true?
If so, how do you tell what truck is timed at currently and how do u advance the timing on our trucks? Is it something that I could do. I'm pretty good with mechanical stuff and can read directions and have most every hand tool made!
If this is a Stealer only type job what would I tell them to do? Would they void my warranty because " I just want more performance!" ( thats what they would think its for).
Also is there any negative drawback to bumping the timing. I want a balance between mileage and longevity. I'm only 30 and plan on this being my last vehicle ( and no I'm not dying soon,LOL).
Thanks for any input, good or bad.
