After fixing my KDP and tearing the truck down to get the cam out and fixing my lifters I have put the truck back together. Well I have taken care of making sure the cam is timed right. After a little persuasion the cam has been timed exactly how it is supposed to be. But I can not get the thing to start. The valves are adjusted right and there is fuel to the injection pump. But the thing still won't start. Any help would be appreciated please. Thanks!

Yes there is, you know that is what I was thinking it was cause I timed the pump when the cam was not timed right. Would that cause the problem? It fired a couple of times but it would not stay running and now it won't fire at all!

Well now I am having a hard time finding tdc on the truck. The timing pin will not push all the way in on my truck so I am just guessing on where tdc is. Is there anyway that anybody could help me with this to locate tdc so I can time my pump and adjust the valves right so the truck will start. This is really starting to get on my nerves.

To find exact TDC:

Pull #1 valve cover
Hand crank engine until intake valve closes, then crank some more (piston approaching TDC)
Remove valve keeper & spring (don't drop valve until you are SURE piston is up)
Let valve rest on piston
Set up dial indicator on valve tip
Make pointer to mark position on crank damper
Turn engine so dial indicator reads . 050 (pick any number)
Mark line on damper
Rotate engine back to 0 and then to . 050 (or whatever number you picked)
Mark damper

The point halfway between the marks on damper is TDC.
